Loving Shepherd Ministries is a Christ-centered ministry that is passionate about helping orphans and at-risk children. With all of the worthy causes that are out there today, why orphans? The answer is that orphans hold a special place in the heart of God. In over 50 places in Scripture, God commands us to defend the cause of the orphan. What else would we expect from a God who calls Himself a “father to the fatherless?” (Psalm 68:5) The unfortunate reality, however, is that there is currently an orphan crisis. Over 143 million orphans live in the world today, many of them struggling to survive in the worst of conditions. 143 million? Is that possible? Please watch the short video on this page to get a feel for the size of the problem and then ask – What can I do? This website outlines multiple ways for you to become involved in God’s plan to care for the world’s orphans.
